The Sycamores were swept in their series with Northern Iowa, losing the opener 6-3 before dropping an extra-inning contest 1-0 on Saturday. Sunday, the Panther defeated ISU by a 10-4 margin. ISU had lots of chances on Saturday, as they held the lead in Game 1 early on but some defensive let downs allowed the Panthers to eventually take the contest. In the second game, the Sycamores dominated every phase of the game but the score, as they outhit the Panther 8-4 and stranded 13 runners on base in the 9 inning contest. UNI only had one runner advance past 2nd base, the eventual game winning run in the top of the 9th that scored on a sacrifice fly. Sunday's contest was close until the Panthers exploded for four home runs in the last two innings to pull away.
